SPOILER ALERT
Spoiler Chat: Gossip Girl Love Triangle Gets Scandalous, and Wait, There’s a Wedding?
Mon., Dec. 21, 2009 by Kristin Dos Santos
Someone’s getting hitched on Gossip Girl.
And someone is going to want to kick Jenny Humphrey in the shins. And it might be me.
Sources are spilling deets on what’s ahead for the show’s new love triangle, and it so ain’t pretty; plus, the return of Jack Bass.
Spoiler Line : Do Not Cross
Candy in Hawaii: Will Jenny get her knight in shining Armani? I’ve waited so long for Nate and Jenny to happen! Please, please tell me they will be a couple. I want them as my Christmas present!
Here’s what I can tell you. According to my source: “Jenny definitely will try to steal Nate away” later this season, after Nate and Serena are more of a solidified couple. However, in what has been written so far, I’m told “Nate is resisting.” That said, it certainly seems as though Jenny has fully embraced the dark side of her Machiavellian ways (will she be worse than Blair ever was?) because according to my mole, the whole Nate stealing is “going to be pretty underhanded by Jenny. Serena won’t really suspect it for a bit.” So let me get this straight: Little J has screwed over her stepbrother/former BFF and now her stepsister too?! Talk about a character 180 from the first season! Do we have a new Big Bad on the Upper East Side? Are producers trying to make us not like her? Thoughts?

i do not get the edward cullen fascination, he is ugly, just shows you beauty is in the eye of the beholder
and that other guy from twilight, the one with the puggy face, (good body but faciially not my cup of tea at all)taylor someone, howis he number 2
well, chace has the most beautiful face in my view and nates character is definatelythe most appealing as he is young but protecive and is appealingly older than in his manor than his years, that is a very attractive quality in a man, thanks for the update
sorry meant
appealingly older in his manor than his years, (i did actually go to school, in case you wondered, lol)
Jacquie – what’s more, consider the message Meyers and her minions are promoting for women:
“Carmen Siering, assistant professor of English and women’s studies at Ball State University, said: “With just a moment of critical analysis, feminists can’t be too happy about how the latest episode in the Twilight series,…
Bella is a passive character who remains in thrall to the “overbearing” Edward even after he dumps her, Siering said.
Writing in the feminist Ms Magazine, she claimed: “In fact, just moments after Edward leaves her, Bella stumbles in the woods and refuses to get up, lying in the muck until a strong, bare-chested man carries her out. Later, we see her sitting in her room, staring out the window, as the months roll by. When she isn’t sitting and staring, she is in bed having nightmares. Very empowering.
“What finally rouses her is a vision of Edward—which she sees after she hops on a motorcycle with a creepy guy. Even this ghostly Edward is bossy, scolding Bella to be careful, but it seems Bella likes, or needs, to be bossed around.”
Sieber concluded: “This is a film full of gender stereotypes—testosterone-driven male aggression, females who pine away over lost loves, boys who fix motorcycles and the girls who watch them.
“The one role-reversal in New Moon, where Bella saves Edward for a change, is immediately negated when Bella’s low self-esteem takes centre stage. Even as Edward declares his love to her, Bella deems herself ‘unworthy’ of it, being simply human while he’s a vampire and all. Perpetuating the idea that this is true love—torturous, painful, and unrequited—is detrimental to all of us, women and men.
“There’s something scary about New Moon, but it’s in the human encounters, not those with the monsters.”
Aside from the stylistically inferior “purple prose”, Twilight’s anti-feminist message has provoked a significant anti-twilight movement in the US, especially among English majors.
Jenny doesn’t have to steal Nate to make me hate her. Just staying in the show makes me hate her already
I totally missed that spoiler alert! Anyway, I’m with you, BC. I don’t like her either; then again, Nate and Dan are the only ethically decent people in GG. The rest are pure evil.
@jacquie: I don’t get it either, I mean I think the only one who’s saved from the ugly cursed is Jackson Rathbone (and that only if he’s not blond), I used to be a fan of the books, but thanks to the movie I’m no longer lolz
I also agree Taylor has a weird face, there are so many great good looking male characters, putting those two pretty much ruined the countdown.
@blackcactus: Haha, couldn’t agree more, is just disturbing that she has to act like that (on/off screen) to get attention, I wish she could leave already, I hope Nate doesn’t get involved with her again.
@Countess: Lolz, they do have a great bromance there, is much much better than the Nate-Chuck one.
