Gossip Girl Returns

As the summer is drawing to a close, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) are madly in love and adjusting to their new “in a relationship” status, breaking all traditional rules of dating as would be expected. Serena (Blake Lively) returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen (guest star Sebastian Stan). Nate (Chace Crawford) returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley (guest star JoAnna Garcia) in tow. Rufus (Matthew Settle), Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) spent the summer in the Hamptons, adjusting to the van der Woodsen’s glamorous lifestyle surprisingly faster than any of them expected. 3×02 The Freshman

Is NYU ready for Blair Waldorf? / Michelle Trachtenberg returns as Georgina

Blair (Leighton Meester), who is determined to maintain her Queen status in college, embarks on her first day at NYU, along with Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). Unfortunately, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) turns up as Blair’s roommate in the dorms, determined to make Blair a social outcast. As Serena (Blake Lively) prepares to depart for Brown, she and Chuck (Ed Westwick) have a major falling out, so she recruits Chuck’s enemy, Carter (guest star Sebastian Stan), to help her get even. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Bree (guest star JoAnna Garcia) decide to explore their relationship further, knowing full well it could cause tension between their families who are political rivals. Blair vs Chuck

It’s an Upper East Side face-off when Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) both set their sights on a particular item up for bid at Sotheby’s and the personal stakes are high. Serena (Blake Lively) suspects that Carter (guest star Sebastian Stan) may be up to his old habits, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) takes an interest in Dan (Penn Badgley), and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) begins to suspect that something isn’t quite right with Scott (guest star Chris Riggi). Jenny begins her reign as the new Queen Bee / Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks guest star

It’s the first day of school at Constance Billard which means it’s also time for Jenny (Taylor Momsen) to take her rightful place as the new Queen Bee. Unfortunately for Jenny, Blair (Leighton Meester) is more than happy to intervene when news reaches her that she may be needed back at Constance. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) returns home to Rufus (Matthew Settle) and her family to find that things are definitely not as she left them. A famous movie actress, Olivia Burke (Hilary Duff), enrolls at NYU – and is assigned to be Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) roommate – hoping for a somewhat normal college experience. Tyra Banks guest stars as Ursula, and actress co-starring in Olivia’s movie and someone who Serena (Blake Lively) befriends. Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick also star. 3×05 Rufus Getting Married

Will Lily & Rufus go through with their planned nuptials / Sonic Youth performs in this episode / Hilary Duff and Michelle Trachtenberg guest star

Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) decide to move up their wedding to the next day, but will someone or something come between them before they become man and wife? Chuck (Ed Westwick) discovers a secret that Carter (Sebastian Stan) has been keeping from Serena (Blake Lively). Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) are pulled into one of Georgina’s (Michelle Trachtenberg) schemes. Chuck Bass opens a club at his new hotel / Albert Hammon Jr. performs in the episode

In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck (Ed Westwick) decides to move up his club’s opening and enlists Serena’s (Blake Lively) help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to win Chuck’s approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan (Penn Badgley) is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia’s (guest star Hilary Huff) infamous sex scenes with co-star and real-life boyfriend at the time, Patrick Robinson (guest star Simon Miller). Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric (Connor Paolo) and her new role as Queen Bee. In the midst of another feud with Serena (Blake Lively), Blair (Leighton Meester) befriends a new “it” girl and takes her to an election night party at Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) hotel, hoping to make Serena jealous. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) plot to help Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester) repair their damaged friendship. 3×10 The Last Days of Disco Stick

Guest performance by Lady Gaga!

Hoping to impress the elititst theater kids at NYU, Blair (Leighton Meester) sets her sights on landing a private concert with the hottest musical performer of the year, Lady Gaga. Dan (Penn Badgley) and Olivia (guest star Hilary Duff) sign up to write and star in a school play, based on an idea by Blair and directed by Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). With Blair out of the picture, Serena (Blake Lively) turns to Nate (Chace Crawford) to help her get through a difficult situation. As a favor to Chuck (Ed Westwick), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) agrees to hang out with Damien (guest star Kevin Zegers), the son of an ambassador who is staying at Chuck’s hotel, but the experience proves to be a lot more intriguing than she expected. Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side

It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side if there wasn’t a serving or two of some major drama for the holiday. Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) is supposed to spend Thanksgiving with her parents, but has a fight with her mom (guest star Gina Torres) and shows up on Dan’s (Penn Badgley) doorstep. Rufus (Matthew Settle) learns that Lily (Kelly Rutherford) has been lying to him about her mother, Cece (guest star Caroline Lagerfelt). Chuck (Ed Westwick) tells Nate (Chace Crawford) that he has some potentially damaging information about one of their friends. Jenny (Taylor Momsen) learns that Eric (Connor Paolo) was behind her very public embarrassment at Cotillion and can’t pass up a chance to get even. Serena (Blake Lively) is put in a very awkward position when her mother invites Trip (guest star Aaron Tveit) and Maureen (guest star Holley Fain) to join them for Thanksgiving dinner.
